Harris Hospital Offers Summer Junior Volunteer Program
Newport, AR (May 19, 2009) - Our Junior Volunteer program gives young people the opportunity to explore careers in healthcare, as well as provide service to our hospital and patients.
The Junior Volunteers have much to offer, and the program provides the opportunity to learn new skills, develop new interests, and make new friends. If you enjoy the satisfaction that comes from helping others, you will enjoy being part of our Harris Hospital Junior Volunteer Program.
The summer program is open to high school students from 13 – 18 years of age. Applications may be obtained by contacting Margaret Goodman, Junior Volunteer Director, at 870-512-3030, and must be received by June 1, 2009. Orientation will be on June 10th and the program will run from June 15th to July 24th. Each volunteer is required to work at least 4 hours per week; however, more hours can be added to the schedule if desired.
If you are interested, please make sure your applications are completed and turned in by June 1st. This program is highly competitive, and sometimes we receive more applications than we have openings. We look forward to another great summer for our volunteers.
