Healthy Woman Anniversary Event Set For October 20th

Newport, AR (September 21, 2009) - Harris Hospital Healthy Woman Program’s anniversary event will be held at the Newport Country Club on Tuesday, October 20th, beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are $15 and will be on sale at the hospital, Merchants & Planters Bank and the Newport Independent.  A meal will be provided, and the after-dinner speaker will be Colette Carlson, M.A.  The Healthy Woman Program is geared to foster a healthy body, mind and spirit for women, and this year’s anniversary guest speaker will indeed be someone who understands women and the problems involved in today’s society.

Ms. Carlson has delivered inspirational programs within North America and to audiences as far away as Cape Town, South Africa.  Whether she’s opening for Suze Orman in a sold-out crowd of 3500 women or speaking in house at Fortune 100 companies to include Microsoft, Boeing, PepsiCo and Cisco, she brings her playful approach and incredible sense of humor to every program.  Recently featured in the May, 2009 issue of Success Magazine, she has also appeared in Working Mother and Personal Development Magazines, in addition to the motivational movie, Pass It On.  Having worked for sales legends Tom Hopkins and Brian Tracy as well as having been a National Sales Trainer AND currently a mother of two-teenage daughters, Ms. Carlson  recognizes that every day is the perfect day to begin to Speak Your Truth.

Her program The Truth About Balance will have you laughing out loud while you learn how to cope and thrive as we seem to be pulled in dozens of directions at once:  work demands, family issues, wellness priorities, and personal dreams.  How can we have it all?  How can we do it all?  The reality is that maybe we can’t.  Maybe the secret to a balanced life is a balanced perspective.
