Healthy Woman Program Offers Children's Health Expo
Newport, AR (September 16, 2009) - Harris Hospital’s Healthy Woman Program will offer a Children’s Health Expo on Saturday, September 19, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This expo is provided to inform parents of health issues regarding their children. During the day, the following will be available:
- The Arkansas State Police will provide a car seat safety check.
- The Newport Police Department will provide a fingerprinting and ID kit.
- The Jackson County Health Department will provide information on children’s immunization, childhood diabetes and the H1N1 vaccine.
- Harris Hospital will provide height, weight, and blood pressure screenings.
- Information regarding hearing, vision and dental care will be available.
- Harris Hospital Dietary will have some tips on a healthy children’s diet along with some samples.
All of this information is FREE. Make sure you have the proper information needed to ensure the health of your children. There will be refreshments, door prizes and give-a-ways.
