2010 New Year's Baby

NEWPORT, Ark. (January 5, 2010) -  A baby boy, Jayden Micheal Wilkerson, was born at Harris Hospital on 1-1-10 at 9:50 a.m. weighing in at 6 lbs. 9.4 oz. and 18 ½” in length.  Proud parents are Jacalyn and James Wilkerson of Pocahontas.  This is the second baby for the Wilkersons; older brother Jordan is seven years old.  Maternal grandparents are Karen Allen of Warm Springs and John Tyler of Pocahontas.  Paternal grandparents are Wear Wilkerson of Pocahontas and the late Mary Wilkerson.

Each year when the first baby is born, the hospital and several local businesses donate items for the new baby.  This year donations were made by:  Merchants & Planters Bank, IBERIABank, Regions Bank, Daises N Such, Purdy’s, Faith and Flowers, Norman Baker Pharmacy, Fred’s Pharmacy, Darling’s Pharmacy, USA Drug, Darling’s Fine Things, The Gizmo, Dollar General Store, Mirian Ballard at Kathy’s Haircare and Brenda Jones at Shear Magic.
