Harris Hospital Auxiliary Honored with Luncheon

NEWPORT, Ark. (June 4, 2010) - The Harris Hospital Auxiliary was recently honored with a luncheon to celebrate National Volunteer Week. Each volunteer received a pin representing the number of hours volunteered at the hospital working either on the floor, in the gift shop or both. The members of the Auxiliary had a total of 12,500 volunteer hours for this reporting period at year end December 2009.

Officers of the Auxiliary are as follows: President: Ann Miller, Vice President: Jeanie Wagers, Treasurer: Barbara Fields, Secretary: Jo Vickers, Historian: Gladys Sanders; and Newsletter: Betty Fisher.

Margaret Goodman, Director of Volunteers, stated, “The hospital is very appreciative of this group of volunteers. They are so giving of their time and always want what is best for our patients. We are happy to honor them during their week and only wish that we could do more.”
