Harris Hospital Names 2009 Chief of Medical Staff and Chairman of the Board of Trustees
Harris officials have announced that Dr. Karen Jones has been elected Chief of Staff and Dr. Mufiz Chauhan has been elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees for 2009.
Dr. Jones, a Newport native, has been a member of the Harris medical staff since 1996. She completed her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, followed by an internship and residency at St. Louis University Hospital. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the America College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Chauhan has been a member of the Harris medical staff since 1981. He completed his internship at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut and his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a Board Certified Radiologist. He has previously served as Chief of Staff in 1995, 1996, 2003 and 2007.
